Editors Required

Looking forward, 2014 is going to be an exciting year. Part of that excitement stems from the challenge and joy of building something amazing and working to make dreams come true. In that vein, Hearts Desire Press is looking to expand its team of Content Editors and Line Editors.

Content Editor Requirements: A solid understanding of GMC, POV and Grammar.

Line Editor Requirements: A thorough knowledge of Grammar and familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style.

If you know of anyone who would be interested in becoming part of our team, and enjoy working with some fantastic authors I would appreciate it if you’d have them contact us.

Please put the position you are inquiring about in the subject line of your email. In the body of your email please give us a brief summary of your editing experience, the romance genres you prefer to edit, and how many authors you are willing to take on.

An application can be obtained by emailing employmentATheartsdesirepressDOTcom

Please feel free to share this with anyone you know who may be interested.

Wishing you happiness and much success in the New Year!

Hearts Desire Press

Just in case any of you are wondering where I’ve gone, or what I’m up to these days I can finally tell you! As my dream of working in the world of publishing continues to evolve, to that end I’m opening my own publishing company.

You can find it here:

Hearts Desire Press

Yes, we’re the new kid in this crazy ever-changing publishing world. And we’re a bit different. I wouldn’t go so far as to call us a hybrid, but I see our place in an author’s endeavor to build a writing career as one smoothly functioning part of a whole. Not the be-all-end-all goal of career building.

These days the smart, career focused author will have their eggs in many baskets, traditional publication, small press, and indie. I applaud that, and believe it’s entirely appropriate.

If as an author you find you like what we do at HDP, you’re welcome to publish with us for as little or as long as you like, but we understand that these days it takes more than one publishing experience to build a solid writing career.

Those of you who know me, know I’ve been self-employed for a long time. HDP isn’t my first trip around the business block. I know how hard you must to work to build success. And I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than work with those in the publishing world. So if you’re an editor, an author, or a marketing professional I’d appreciate it if you’d consider working with Hearts Desire Press in the future.
