Life with Lucy - #1

Welcome to the new Friday Feature here on Fox Tales. There have been some big happenings around the Fox household! Apparently just having two calm and serene cats for several years got boring. Who knew that would happen? And after giving it some thought, and discussion, we realized we had room to help another disadvantaged pet.

After searching online over several weeks, a sweet black face caught my eye. When I called to find out about her, she just happened to be out for viewing at a farm store. So dropping everything, off we went to meet her. She turned out to be just as sweet as she looks.

Now it’s your turn. May I introduce the newest member of our family, Lucy.

For those of you who are old enough to remember, yes, it’s true. When I get home I want to be able to holler, “Luuucccyyy!! I’m home!” Without the Cuban accent, and the good looks, I’m hoping it’ll still work. At this point, she comes running, wagging her whole body. I can work with that.

Happy Thanksgiving

To all of my friends here in America, I am thankful. Thankful for your friendship and support through this crazy journey called life. I'm truly blessed to have found my passion in the written word, and my world just wouldn't be the same without all the readers and writers connected to it.

Wishing everyone health, happiness, and the best of days.

Americans - Please Vote

Just a friendly reminder to all of my U.S. friends. Please take time today to vote.

I don't care what party you're with, or what 'side' you claim for your own. It's part of our process, so please take part.

And just in case you're thinking of bowing out because:

1. You're too busy.

2. It's rigged and my vote doesn't count anyway.

3. Any other excuse you can think of...

I've been around long enough to hear most of them. I'm not buying it. Well, okay, Sandy is a darn good reason. Other than that, if you don't vote, you can rest assured I'll be too busy afterwards to listen to any of your complaints about how it turned out.

This is one of the few things Americans do together, regardless of what they believe. A lot of people sacrificed their lives so we could do this. They believed in the process with everything they had. It may not be a perfect process. And it may have eroded a bit over time. But right now it's the only one we've got so your participation would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Fall Color

Greetings! Nope I haven’t run screaming into highway traffic just yet. I’m made of sterner stuff than that. Things have been crazy busy around the Fox household lately. The universe is testing my limits. But you’ve been on my mind though.

Before the first day of winter arrives in December, I wanted to share one of the reasons that I love living in this area. Every fall, the colors are just spectacular. The first two photos were taken standing on my deck looking into the back yard. The third is one of the local golf courses, and the forth is just a highway shot. If you’d like to see more, they’re on my Facebook page.

Today, I’m jumping into the vortex that is NaNo (National Novel Writing Month) with high hopes for success this year. Wish me luck!

Still Around

Yep. I'm still here. Lurking about in the background. Perhaps you'll notice the new look of the blog. Not sure it's the final design, I just couldn't stand the black another day so I went with what we've got up to this point.

I'm making a sincere effort to lighten up. Not sure how that will go, or how long it will last but going from black to navy is the best I've got. I tried pink. I really did.

The font is a little different, but it suits me. A little swirly and girly, bold and strong, and still...a mess. LOL!

There are lots of changes happening with my writing over the next couple months. My website is being revamped, my series is being reworked, I'll have a new publisher, and my work should appear on a more timely release schedule. This last is no reflection on my previous publishers, they were very good to me. I just needed a change.

Some people just want things the way they want them. And for right now, I fall into that category. We'll just have to see where it takes me. And I'd love for you to make the journey with me. That's all I've got for now, but soon there should be new covers, and lots more news!
