Why do cats like boxes so much anyway?

I'm thinking he's only in here to keep the other cat out. It's the whole dominance thing in action.

    My cats like boxes too, but the youngest one really likes to chew them up and spit them out in little pieces. LOL. I don't care though, as long as it's not my laptop cord... cute kitty.
